  • Make a Bequest or Legacy Gift

    Planned giving is a wonderful way to make a lasting impact on the children, families and individuals in crisis in our community. It supports our vital programs and sets an example for your children and grandchildren about the importance of philanthropy.

  • Client Wish List

    Even small donations of simple items can make a big difference in someone’s life. Your donation of any of the items below will immediately help a family or individual in need in our community:

    • Toiletries, full or travel size (deodorant, toothpaste, disposable razors, body wash, shampoo & conditioner)
    • Feminine hygiene products
    • Diapers & wipes
    • Laundry detergent & cleaning supplies
    • Backpacks & school supplies
    • Sheets, blankets & towels (new or gently used)
    • Grocery & gas gift cards
    • Bus passes
    • Cell phones, new or used (details below)

    Cell Phones Community Solutions collects new and used cell phones to benefit the women who use our confidential domestic violence shelter, La Isla Pacifica. Cell phones can be dropped off at any one of our Hollister, Gilroy, Morgan Hill, or San Jose office locations. Batteries and chargers are useful but not necessary for the donation.

  • Holiday Giving Program

    Every year volunteers and donors come together to provide holiday gifts and essentials to more than 600 children and families in our local community.

    Community members are invited to “adopt” a family for the holiday season and donate one “wish list” item and one “needed” item for each person in the family they adopt.

    Ways you can participate: 

    • Adopt a family
    • Donate new toys or gifts
    • Donate gift cards (Target, Walmart, grocery stores)
    • Make a cash donation (our volunteers will do the shopping for you)

  • Other Ways to Support Our Clients

    There are many other ways you can support the children, families and individuals we serve. These are just a few:

    • Shop using Amazon Smile and Amazon will donate .5% of your eligible purchases to Community Solutions
    • Make a gift in honor/memory of a loved one. A letter acknowledging the gift will be sent to the person(s) you designate without the amount of the gift being included.

    • Ask your employer about their Matching Gifts Program. Many employers will match all or a portion of donations made to charitable organizations. Inquire through your HR department.

    • Donate stock, marketable securities, real estate or life insurance. There are many benefits to the donor when making a charitable donation of stock, marketable securities, real estate or life insurance. Please check with your financial advisor to determine the best option for you.
